After going 16 games without a home run, New York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso has gone yard in two of his last three games, and the two-time MLB Home Run Derby winner has hit home runs in bunches throughout his seven-year career. However, you can still find Alonso for as high as +375 in the latest MLB home runs odds from BetMGM, and the right-handed slugger will benefit from the wind blowing out to left field on Wednesday. We're recommending Alonso to hit a HR in our MLB home run parlay for today, and you can even build in some insurance on your first MLB HR bet with the latest BetMGM promo code.

Any first-time users interested in putting together MLB home run picks today can also enhance their experience with the latest DraftKings promo code or Fanatics Sportsbook promo code, just to name a few. Best MLB home run picks for Wednesday, May 28:

Pete Alonso, Mets (+375)

Alonso has been absolutely blistering the ball so far in 2025, with an average exit velocity of 94.5 mph and a hard-hit contact rate of 56.7%. Both rank 97th percentile or higher among MLB hitters and now that the home run drought is over, you can probably expect those impressive batted-ball metrics to bear more home run fruit. The model sets the line for Alonso to go yard at +330 and BetMGM is offering the best price here, but we're taking him at +360 on FanDuel because of some significant value later in our MLB HR parlay.

"You can get a relatively high price for Alonso to hit a HR today because White Sox SP, Shane Smith, does not allow many HRs. However, Smith doesn't often make it past the fifth inning, and the White Sox' bullpen has allowed the fifth most HRs in the majors," SportsLine data analyst Jacob Fetner said. "Alonso homered yesterday and has homered in two of his last three games played. He has nine of his 11 homers against right-handed pitchers and has been raking in day games (.329 avg and .999 OPS)." Wyatt Langford, Rangers (+340, originally +400)

After rapidly climbing through the Texas minor league system after being drafted fourth overall in the 2023 MLB Draft, Langford hit 16 home runs in his rookie season and has taken another step forward as a power source in 2025. He's already hit 10 home runs this season despite missing a couple of weeks with an oblique strain in April.

"Langford is facing a rookie pitcher, Paxton Schultz, making his first career start. Schultz has been solid out of the bullpen from a numbers standpoint, but his statcast metrics indicate that he is performing better than expected," Fetner noted. "We set the line at +350 for Langford to homer." BetMGM once again has the best price but we're playing this at +340 on FanDuel for the purpose of our parlay.

Tyler Stephenson, Reds (+800)

Most books have this MLB HR prop listed between +450 and +575, so we're getting tremendous value here from FanDuel and that's why it's the site we're using to maximize value for this MLB home run parlay. Stephenson got off to a very slow start after spending a month on the injured list with an oblique strain of his own, but he's homered in two consecutive games now and he hit a career-high 19 home runs in 2024.

"While the sample size is small, Stephenson has hit lefties well in his 19 at bats against them this season. He has four extra-base hits and a 1.124 OPS against lefties in those limited at bats. Stephenson is a career .276 hitter against lefties, which means he has always seen the ball pretty well coming from that side," Fetner said.
