Giants also dominating Korean All-Star Game

While the Giants of San Francisco dominated the All-Star balloting and the game itself, the Giants of Lotte are raising the bar when it comes to Giant-related voting prowess.

As the Korea Times reports, the ballots for the Korean Baseball Organization (KBO) All-Star Game have been tallied, and a Lotte Giant will occupy all nine starting positions plus the DH spot.

That's right: Fans of the KBO's Eastern League will be resigned to rooting for Lotte Giants and nothing but Lotte Giants. “It is obvious the result is overly unbalanced. The thing is, however, it is not about the players’ performance. It is more like a popularity vote,” said a KBO official. “But the managers’ picks will also participate to make it a quality game and to satisfy the fans who want to see other stars there.”

Sound familiar, stateside baseball fans?

Something else gleaned from the Times piece: The KBO has a team called the Wyverns and a team called the Heroes. Those are cool names.
