GIF: Cubs' Julio Borbon pretends to get hit by a pitch
Cubs outfielder Julio Borbon got hit by a pitch on Thursday. At least that's what he wants us to believe.
We've all seen players pretend to get hit by close pitches. It happens every single day. Every once in a while, it actually works. Cubs outfielder Julio Borbon tried to fake his way to first base on Thursday afternoon, and let's just say it was a delayed reaction:
I can't give Borbon more than a "D" for effort there. Can't blame him for trying, though. The Cubs were down two runs in the eighth inning. The umps weren't fooled, and the at-bat ended with Borbon grounding out to second.
