Dodgers shortstop Hanley Ramirez, who's been playing through a fractured rib, was forced to exit Game 4 of the NLCS against the Cardinals. Ramirez, who struggled at the plate on Tuesday night and at times looked to be in obvious pain, was replaced at shortstop by Nick Punto for the top of the sixth.
Ramirez initially sustained the injury when he was plunked by a Joe Kelly fastball in Game 1.
During the regular season, Ramirez, when not injured, batted .345/.402/.638 in 86 games, and he entered Game 4 with an OPS of 1.435 in the current postseason.
The club is expected to part ways with Collins after the season
