Interest in Francisco Liriano perks up after 15-strikeout game
The Twins' lefthander is getting notice from at least six teams.
Twins lefthander Francisco Liriano is drawing decent attention on the trade market now. A 15-strikeout game has a tendency to do that.
The Angels, Red Sox, Yankees, Mets, Blue Jays and Braves are believed among teams to have some interest in Liriano, who could start or relieve.
While his overall record of 3-8 and 4.93 ERA aren't going to wow anyone, he's had a sub 3 ERA since returning to the rotation and is average more than a strikeout an inning in that time. Liriano whiffed 15 A's in a recent loss vs. the A's.
