With five more games on the schedule for Sunday, the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) will look to put a largely washed out Saturday (three postponed games) behind it with some day baseball. The Samsung Lions and Kia Tigers will continue their series in Daegu as Samsung looks for the sweep and the Kiwoom Heroes will also look to earn a three-game sweep over the Hanwha Eagles. Kiwoom is the -180 favorites over Hanwha (+150) while Samsung is the +130 underdog against Kia (-160) in the latest KBO odds.
First pitch for all five games on Sunday is set for 1 a.m. ET (2 p.m. ET local), and both SK Wyverns against Lotte and the Doosan Bears against KT Wiz are expected to be relatively high-scoring with the total at 9.5 in the KBO odds. But before locking in any KBO picks for Sunday's games, be sure to see the Korea Baseball best bets from SportsLine data engineer Mike McClure, who is on an impressive 9-3 run on his KBO best bets.
Recognized in the book "Fantasy Football (and Baseball) for Smart People: How to Turn your hobby into a Fortune" as a top Daily Fantasy Baseball Player, McClure has won almost $2 million in daily Fantasy sports. And in 2016, McClure launched the wOBA Projection Model for MLB picks, which has returned $2,300 to $100 bettors. If anybody knows how to spot value in baseball lines, it's him.
Now, he's turned his attention to the Korean Baseball Organization and has locked in four strong picks for Sunday. Parlaying his three selections would pay out over 5-1. You can only see them here.
Top Korea Baseball predictions for May 10
One of McClure's top KBO predictions for Sunday: He's backing the Doosan Bears (-190) to get a win over KT Wiz. Despite yesterday's matchup being postponed, KT is expected to stick with 21-year-old Min Kim (4.98 career ERA) as its starter and that's going to be a solid matchup for a Doosan lineup that is loaded with left-handed hitting.
Jose Miguel Fernandez posted a .896 OPS in his first season in the KBO in 2019 and he's off to a 9-for-16 start in 2020. Fernandez, Oh Jae-Il, Kim Jae-Hwan and Choi Joo-hwa all have an OPS of at least .888 so far this season and those four lefties could pose a particular problem for the right-handed Min.
Meanwhile, Doosan will stick with 13th-year KBO League veteran Lee Yong-chan as its starter. Yong-chan is 52-47 in his career with a 3.73 career ERA and he's posted a quality start in five of his last six starts against KT.
