In looking at the standings, one might notice something a little odd. Hint: Look at the "home" record part. Every team has had at least one series at home except for the Atlanta Braves. They will debut their new ballpark on Friday against the San Diego Padres at 7:35 p.m. local time.

Of course, fans attending the game should get there plenty early as there will be plenty of pre-game festivities (also, get the baseball bat beer!). Another thing I love to do when seeing a ballpark for the first time is take a quick trek around the outside to get a glimpse of everything. In this day and age, it's never just a bunch of brick or concrete with entrances. There's always more to see.

At SunTrust Park, a new sight for Braves fans will be a statue of the most successful manager in franchise history, Hall of Famer Bobby Cox.

Cox managed the Braves for parts of 25 seasons, going 2149-1709 with 14 (consecutive) division titles, five NL pennants and one World Series championship. He won the NL Manager of the Year three times and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2014.

Including Cox's stint with the Blue Jays, he ranks fourth in MLB history with 2,504 wins, trailing only Connie Mack, John McGraw and Tony La Russa.
