On Saturday, the Reds inducted Pete Rose into the team's Hall of Fame. The ceremonies continued on Sunday, however, as the Reds once again treated their former star like a king.

First Rose was gifted with a portrait of his famous slide:


Then Rose had his number officially retired:

And finally, Rose caught the first pitch thrown by his son:

Rose's behavior and comments over the years haven't helped his standing within baseball or all parts of the baseball community. Still, it seems like Reds fans have maintained their high opinion of the Hit King, and as such, this weekend must have been a blast for them, as well as for Rose, his family, and his friends. It's easy to get jaded about this stuff, but from a big-picture perspective, if it allowed a bunch of people to have a good time without hurting or offending anyone, then what's the harm?
