LOOK: Squirrel brings Twins-Indians game to a screeching halt for nearly five minutes
This squirrel has apparently not heard about Commissioner Manfred's pace-of-play initiatives
Saturday afternoon, the Minnesota Twins and Cleveland Indians continued their three-game weekend series with the middle game at Progressive Field (GameTracker).
During the sixth inning, Saturday's game had to be delayed, but not because of rain. Because of a squirrel. The furry little creature had the grounds crew running all over the field for a few minutes.
Here's some video:
In addition to keeping the grounds crew busy for a few minutes, the squirrel also had the attention of at least one Very Good Dog watching at home:

The squirrel was eventually caught and presumably released into the wild greater Cleveland metropolitan area. The delay took roughly four minutes and 30 seconds, which can't be great news for commissioner Rob Manfred when speeding up games is the primary focus.
