In Thursday night's marathon game between the Indians and Orioles in Baltimore, Orioles All-Star third baseman Manny Machado was replaced in extra innings. The cause, as announced during the broadcast, was right groin stiffness. No further information was made available by the Orioles.

Machado, 21, is hitting .229/.270/.277 with just one double and one homer in his 20 games since returning from the disabled list -- where he began the season as he recovered from offseason knee surgery.

If Machado is to miss any games, expect both Jonathan Schoop and Ryan Flaherty to start in the infield, instead of having one play second base and one come off the bench.
