Map of the day: Red Sox parade route
The Red Sox have made plans for their World Series victory parade, and it will take an interesting path.
According to Internet rumor and the static-laden ham-radio distress frequency, the Red Sox prevailed over the Cardinals in the 2013 World Series. As such, federal law entitles them to a parade, which they will undertake on Saturday at 10 am local time.
On the topic of said parade, here's a map out of the route, courtesy the Boston Globe's Baxter Holmes ...
Cartography buffs will note that the route will eventually dump the entire Red Sox organization into the high seas, where they'll risk being subjected to the vengeful whims of Neptune. Fortunately for the Sox, they'll be riding in water-ready duck boats, just as they did in 2004, so they should be fine.
Parade-goers, be sure not to drink alcohol.
