Matt Holliday leaves game with right hamstring tightness
Cardinals left fielder Matt Holliday left Thursday's game with a hamstring injury. No news is yet available as to the severity.
There's no further information as to the severity of the issue, but bear in mind the All-Star break is just three games away, so it's possible for Holliday to get a bit of extra rest in the next week.
Holliday, 33, is hitting .268/.351/.448 with 13 homers, 47 RBI and 64 runs this season.
Young slugger Matt Adams entered the lineup in Holliday's place and it's likely he and Allen Craig would be the first baseman and left fielder -- regardless of which player takes which spot -- if Holliday misses any time.
