Mets GM Sandy Alderson has some trade season advice for fans
With trade season coming, Mets GM Sandy Alderson wants you to ignore Twitter and blogs (other than EOB) -- and also to go home and have a beer.
Mets general manager Sandy Alderson was asked about trade rumors -- specifically, those found on Twitter and in blogs -- regarding second baseman Daniel Murphy by a fan. His response wasn't meant as a blanket statement as the trade deadline inches closer, but it surely could be taken as one.
"I haven't been on Twitter in a long time. So I know you haven't been reading my tweets. And I don't think you've been reading them from Terry [Collins] either. So, at this point, do what I do: Ignore Twitter and try to ignore the blogosphere and have a beer when you go home tonight."
He didn't say that Eye On Baseball was excluded, but that seems implied. So definitely listen to Sandy. Ignore all tweets and blogs other than those coming from Eye On Baseball. Pick out your favorite frothy beverage and enjoy some Eye On Baseball while ignoring absolutely every other baseball outlet. Sandy has spoken.
