Minor-league team will trade season tix for LeBron James Heat jerseys
The Mets' High-A affiliate in St. Lucie is giving Miami Heat fans a way to cope with their LeBron James grief.
Sketchy Internet rumor has it that hoops superstar LeBron James is leaving the Miami Heat in favor of his home-state Cleveland Cavaliers. Heat fans who come to Tradition Field over the next week can trade in their LeBron James jerseys or T-shirt jerseys for a St. Lucie Mets season ticket for all remaining home games. The season ticket package includes a special cup and Mets T-shirt.
All James jerseys and T-shirts should be brought to the Tradition Field ticket office. The garments will be donated to the local Goodwill.
Seems like a reasonable use of some no-longer-relevant textiles, wouldn't you say? Pity the Marlins didn't think of it first.
