New York Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez, originally suspended for four games for his role in a benches-clearing brawl against the Detroit Tigers, has seen his suspension reduced to three games.
Sanchez, in turn, will begin serving his banishment on Tuesday:

Sanchez enters his suspension having hit .276/.344/.527 with 28 home runs in 103 games. He'll miss a three-game set against the Baltimore Orioles that could prove costly -- the Yankees enter the series just 3 1/2 games up on the Orioles for a playoff spot.
