- Arizona Diamondbacks : RHP Brandon McCarthy (5.11 ERA, 4.83 K/BB ratio, 104 IP) sounds as though he expects to be traded prior to the July 31 non-waiver deadline. "It certainly seems likely," McCarthy said of the possibility of his being dealt to a contender, "but if I am still here at the end of September, then great. - Miami Marlins : OF Giancarlo Stanton has reportedly agreed to participate in the upcoming Home Run Derby. 

- Philadelphia Phillies : Team president David Montgomery says he hesitates to undertake a rebuilding effort because he doesn't want to see attendance drop. (Kevin Cooney, Bucks County Courier Times)

- Boston Red Sox : On Saturday, the Sox called up highly touted prospect Mookie Betts. 

- Kansas City Royals : Our own Jon Heyman tweets that the Royals have signed LHP Brandon Finnegan, the no. 17 pick of the June draft out of TCU, to a $2,200,600 bonus. 


- Houston Astros : LHP Dallas Keuchel was scratched from his scheduled Saturday start because of left wrist inflammation. He hopes to make his next scheduled start. (Evan Drellich via Twitter)

- Los Angeles Dodgers : SS Hanley Ramirez (shoulder) was back in the lineup on Saturday. 

- New York Mets : The team says 3B David Wright won't require a DL stint for his bruised rotator cuff, at least not at this time. He'll be reexamined on Monday. (Adam Rubin via Twitter)

- Washington Nationals : OF Bryce Harper (thumb) hit three home runs in what should be his final minor-league rehab game. He's expected to be activated from the DL on Monday. 

- Texas Rangers : The team will wait until July 7 to decide whether LHP Derek Holland (offseason knee surgery) is ready to begin a minor-league rehab assignment. (Anthony Andro, Fox Sports Southwest)
