Nationals to get Adam LaRoche back Sunday from DL
Nationals first baseman Adam LaRoche will return to the lineup Sunday as he returns from a quad injury.
Nationals first baseman Adam LaRoche is eligible to be activated from the 15-day disabled list Sunday, and that's exactly what will happen. LaRoche is already in Pittsburgh and told Mark Zuckerman of CSN Washington that he has no issues in his leg.
LaRoche was placed on the DL May 10 due to strained right quad muscle. He played in two minor-league rehab games, picking up a hit and a walk Friday for Double-A Harrisburg.
LaRoche, 34, is hitting .319/.421/.504 (156 OPS+) with six doubles, five homers and 21 RBI in 32 games this season.
