Oldie but goodie: George Carlin on baseball vs. football

As you might have noticed, football is everywhere on this day -- on the television, on the radio, on the Internet, taking too long in the bathroom, lurking behind the potted palm, holding up the jam box outside Diane Court's bedroom window ....

So on this occasion of football most ubiquitous, let us take the opportunity to revisit -- with the comic genius of the late, great, George Carlin as our vessel -- the differences between the sport that binds us and the sport that is all about us on this and every New Year's Day:
