Organizational rules of the day: The 'Astro way'
As you'll soon see, the Astros have provided their employees with some rules of the road.
In the here and now, the Astros are a bit of a punchline to a joke that's not particularly funny -- any Carlos Mencia joke, for instance. However, GM Jeff Luhnow has in place a skilled front office and a clear organizational vision, which is in large part why the rebuilding process is going quite swimmingly thus far.
On that front, this hurried cell-phone snapshot, which comes to us from deep within the Astro corridors of power, provides some rules of conduct for the members of said skilled front office. For what it's worth, these are rules that pretty much every sentient being should live by (after tailoring some of the baseball particulars, of course).
It bears repeating: Three or four years from now, no one's going to be laughing at the Astros any longer.
