PHOTO: It's April 16, and there's ice on the tarp at Yankee Stadium
The awful winter of 2014 would appear to still be lingering, at least in the Bronx prior to Wednesday's Cubs-Yankees doubleheader.
On Tuesday, the Cubs-Yankees interleague tilt in the Bronx was one of four games to be postponed because of weather-related absurdities. So those two clubs will play a doubleheader on Wednesday. That's ice. On April 16. The informal pact has always been that filing our taxes entitles us to the atmospheric delights of spring, but it would seem that the pact has been broken. Not pictured but present in the distance, probably: A "snownado" or something that previously didn't exist.
