As the 1980s S&L crisis taught us, there's nothing wrong with a gentleman's wearing pink, so long as a sensible argyle sweater is tied about the neck and the ensemble is rendered complete with tortoise-shell rims, pleated khaki deck shorts and business-casual Sperry top-siders. 

As this Blue Jays fan has now taught us, there's also nothing wrong with wearing pink in the absences of all those flourishes, so long as baseball is being played and the gams are allowed to breathe a bit ...

Now go and tell your haberdasher that the rules have changed.
