Photo of the Day: Jason Kipnis' nasty welt after being hit by a pitch

During Thursday's spring training game against the Royals, Indians second baseman Jason Kipnis took a Jeremy Guthrie fastball to the back. It was completely unintentional, there was no bad AL Central blood involved, though the welt on Kipnis' back was very real:

Good grief. I would have been in the fetal position in the batter's box if that happened to me, not posing for a photo. Ballplayers, man.
