Rangers place Adrian Beltre on 15-day DL with quad injury
After days of hoping he would feel better, the Brewers placed Adrian Beltre on the DL with a quad injury.
Beltre, 35, has been nursing the quad problem for a few days now and has not played since Tuesday, hence the retroactive DL assignment. He also missed a few days with the issue in spring training.
In eight games this season, Beltre has gone 8-for-28 (.286) with three doubles and four runs driven in. He also more walks (five) than strikeouts (two).
Righty Hector Noesi was added to the roster to replace Beltre. He was acquired from the Mariners for cash on Saturday. Noesi has a 5.64 ERA in 191 1/3 big league innings.
