Rays add second Zim Bear night, nation rejoices
The Rays will host a second Zim Bear night, giving away a stuff bear with the face of legendary baseball man Don Zimmer.

Rejoice! The Zim Bear is back!
Or, at least it will be September 3, when the Rays will hold a second Zim Bear night. Again, unfortunately, the Zim Bear is limited to the first 10,000 fans for the game against the Yankees.
The Rays held the first Zim Bear night on June 29, and it was a smashing success -- at least for those 10,000 people who nabbed Zim Bears. In all, only 19,557 showed up for the Friday night game against the Tigers, meaning the Zim Bear is kind of like The Big Lebowski of ballpark giveaways -- a critical success with a fanatic fan following, but a box office flop. (You can expect a ZimBearFest soon -- I may even host it since I live in his hometown.)
The original can be had on eBay for about $25 right now on eBay -- or it was before I just bought it. There are others to be had, maybe for less, but also for more. And with another giveaway coming up, there will be more to be had and the price may even go down. Regardless, the Zim Bear is priceless and the more Zim Bears in this world, the better place it is to live.
