Rays manager Maddon to shave head for charity

Thursday, we passed along the story that Reds reliever Bill Bray will shave his head for charity, and now we're here to let you know Rays manager Joe Maddon is doing the same (TampaBay.com).

Maddon will do his head shaving next Thursday to raise money for the Pediatric Cancer Foundation and the Vincent Lecavalier Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders Center at All Children's Hospital.

The skipper is also encouraging his coaches and players to join in on the action.

Donations can be made by visiting the website pcfcutforacure.org before May 4.

Maddon just sent out the following tweet: "'Fortune favors the bald.' Shaving our heads on 3/15 to pay tribute to children battling cancer."
