Reds' Joey Votto leading NL All-Star voting
Reds first baseman leads all National League players in All-Star voting. Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun leapfrogged Melky Cabrera for one of the team's three outfield spots. Voting ends Thursday.
Redsfirst baseman Joey Votto has overtaken Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp as the leading vote-getter for the National League All-Star team.
The third outfield spot -- behind the injured Kemp and the Cardinals' Carlos Beltran -- is turning into a dogfight between the Brewers' Ryan Braun and San Francisco's Melky Cabrera. Last week Cabrera was ahead of Braun in the voting, while this week Braun jumped back in front of Cabrera. Braun, last season's MVP, is currently 122,733 votes ahead of Cabrera.
Voting in big-league stadiums has ended, but fans can still vote online until Thursday. The teams will be announced on Sunday.
