According to a published report, Cubs reliever Carlos Marmol has been accused of "abuse" by a woman in the Dominican Republic. Marmol and his attorneys have filed a counter-complaint alleging blackmail and extortion on the part of the accuser.
Marmol, 30, has served as the Cubs' primary closer for most of the last four seasons.
