Report: MLB is expected to scrap London game scheduled in 2017
Big-league baseball won't be coming to London just yet

Here's some bad news for London-based MLB fans: the reportedly league won't be headed there in 2017 after all.
Despite commissioner Rob Manfred raising the possibility earlier in the year, it appears the logistics of playing a regular-season game in London just never worked themselves out. That according to Tony Clark, head of baseball's union, anyway:
"There was discussion about London early on. Unfortunately there were a number of moving pieces related to London that shortened our window in an effort to try to find common ground on that happening, and we weren't able to get it done in time."

Presumably the league will revisit these discussions sometime down the road.
Oh, and by the way, Clark also made vague comments as it pertains to 25-man roster players partaking in future Olympics -- and uh, you shouldn't bet on it happening. So, the lesson here is pretty straightforward: don't get your hopes up when it comes to MLB and international efforts.
