Rockies, Boone Logan agree to 3-year deal
The Rockies have added a lefty reliever to the fold. Jon Heyman reports that Boone Logan is now theirs for $16.5 million
The Rockies have agreed to terms with lefty reliever Boone Logan on a three-year deal. CBSSports.com's Jon Heyman confirms the reporting of Troy Renck of the Denver Post. Heyman adds that Logan's deal will pay him a total of $16.5 million.
Logan, 29, is coming off a 2013 season in which he pitched to a 3.23 ERA and 3.85 K/BB ratio in 39 innings for the Yankees. For his career, Logan owns a 100 ERA+ and 2.30 K/BB ratio across parts of eight major-league seasons. Although Logan is a lefty specialist, same-side hitters have a career .243/.312/.378 line against him, which is not quite optimal by the standards of LOOGYs.
