Roy Halladay put on DL, out 6-8 weeks
The Phillies have placed right-hander Roy Halladay on the 15-day disabled list with a right latissimus dorsi strain. He is expected to miss 6-8 weeks.
The Phillies have placed Roy Halladay on the 15-day disabled list with a right latissimus dorsi strain, the team announced before Tuesday's game. CBSSports.com Insider Jon Heyman reports that Halladay is expected to miss six to eight weeks.
Halladay, 35, is 4-5 with a 3.98 ERA in 11 starts this season and was removed after two innings on Sunday due to right shoulder soreness.
The move is retroactive to Monday, and the team recalled catcher Erik Kratz from Triple-A Lehigh Valley to take Halladay's spot on the roster.
