With six innings against the Giants at AT&T Park, Stephen Strasburg has innings count for 2012 is up to 139 1/3, and the countdown to his shutdown continues. CBSSports.com Insider Danny Knobler says he's been told by the Mets that they expect him either two or three starts at the end of the season and with six more starts, he'd finish the season somewhere around 170 innings.
On Wednesday, Strasburg wasn't as dominating as Felix Hernandez, but he was plenty sharp enough to top Tim Lincecum. Strasburg struck out seven and walked four while giving up four hits and two runs, as we look at his season totals on the ol' Strasburg-160:
