The Cubs will appear on this week's episode of 'Saturday Night Live'

Friday afternoon, the Cubs paraded around Chicago to celebrate their first World Series championship in 108 years. Roughly five million people attended the parade.

According to the Chicago Tribune, catcher David Ross told MLB Network several players will head to New York after the parade and appear on Saturday Night Live on, well, Saturday. No word on whether Will Ferrell will show up to do his Harry Caray impression, but I'd bet on it.

Maybe another special guest will do their Harry Caray impression instead, or their impression of Will Ferrell doing his impression of Harry Caray, since that's what everyone's Harry Caray impression is. That's a mouthful.

Anyway, will the 2016 Cubs be better on Saturday Night Live than the 2001 Yankees? Maybe! Hard to think they'll top "Candy Soriano" saying Derek Jeter looks like The Rock had sex with a Muppet though.

Actor Benedict Cumberbatch will host Saturday's show and Solange Knowles will be the musical guest, by the way.
