Looking for a chance to own a piece of the old Yankee Stadium? How about 13 10-foot tall pieces? Now's your chance!

According to the Associated Press, the giant blue letters that spelled out YANKEE STADIUM on the old ballpark's facade are for sale, and the seller is Hall of Famer Reggie Jackson. He hopes to raise $300,000 to $600,000. Here's more from the Associated Press:

"There were a few items I wanted to purchase before the old Yankee Stadium was torn down, including my old locker and a section of the black bleachers off of centerfield," he added. "But I kept thinking about the stadium lettering, and if there was any way for me to own it. I ended up making an offer and was thrilled when it was accepted. It's been a privilege to own such a recognizable piece of baseball history."

The letters are 10 feet tall and range from two feet wide to 10 feet wide. They're made of aluminum with blue plexiglass inserts, and you can rig them to light up. I imagine those suckers weigh a couple hundred pounds each.

The YANKEE STADIUM sign was added to the ballpark following the 1976 renovation and remained there until it was torn down following the 2008 season. They're being sold through Sotheby's auction house and will be up for sale in April.

Are the letters a practical purchase? Nope! But if you have a couple hundred grand burning a hole in your pocket and a place to display them, I'm not sure there's a better of Yankees memorabilia out there.
