In the sixth inning of Wednesday's Indians-Royals game, Cleveland's Jason Kipnis hit a three-run homer. At least that's what the box score says. But there was more to it than that. Take a look:

Kansas City outfielder Alex Gordon left the game with what the team called a hip injury and a mild concussion. He'll undergo further tests on Thursday. For the time being, he's day to day, but it's hard to see this not costing him several games at the minimum. That was quite a crash.

Gordon, 29, is one of baseball's more underrated players. He's hitting .292/.351/.426 with 15 doubles, eight homers, 46 RBI and 45 runs in addition to being a normally very good defensive left fielder.
