Mike Trout: Good at baseball-related tasks and duties.
More broadly and apropos of these two gentleman, it seems that Harper is starting to acquire the whiff of disappointment. Sure, he doesn't compare favorably to Trout, but on an age-adjusted basis pretty much no one in baseball history compares favorably to Trout. Let's also keep in mind that Harper is still just 21 -- the age at which most players are in High-A ball -- and he owns a career weighted runs created+ (wRC+) of 127. It's easy to forget how young he still is, given how long he's been a part of baseball consciousness and discussion.
Harper, like him or not, remains is a very good player and likely to get even better.
