Cubs phenom Javier Baez is becoming very familiar with these pages, what with his propensity to hit baseballs hard and also far. It so happens that he flashed that skill of his again on Monday against the Mets (CHC 4, NYM 1) ... 

As you surely noted, that's a second deck job in a park that's pretty hostile toward right-handed power. Hit it like that, though, and it would make a hasty exit even if Citi Field were fully submerged in water (note: possibly not true).

Young Mr. Baez, age 21, is now batting .233/.258/.517 on the season. While the plate discipline still needs much work, the power is already legit by big-league standards.
