VIDEO: Indians' 7-2-4 triple play vs Dodgers features two challenges
It's not often you see a triple play, and it's even less often that you see this kind of triple play. Take it away, Cleveland Indians.
In the fourth inning of Tuesday night's Indians-Dodgers contest (GameTracker), Adrian Gonzalez stepped in with Dee Gordon on third and Yasiel Puig on first. This is what happened (spoiler alert: you're about to see a challenge from each dugout) ...
That, mute onlookers, is a rarely-glimpsed-in-captivity 7-2-4 triple play (assist: replay; replay). That's ipso facto hard to pull off, but with Gordon and Puig running the bases? Even more of a feat.
It's also possible there actually were three outs on that play. Or two. Or maybe one. At least one.
