Prior to the fifth inning of Game 4, the Tigers had scored in exactly two of the first 31 innings of the ALDS. The second best run-scoring team in baseball had its offense completely disappear.

Then, in that fifth inning of Game 4, Jhonny Peralta changed everything with a game-tying three-run homer to left field. It was, in a word, clutch:
