Either Byrd is incredibly strong and has a lightning quick bat, or that bat already had a pretty big crack in it. I'll pretend it was the former.

Breaking the bat on a swing-and-miss is impressive, but it does not compare to the time Albert Belle snapped his bat on a check swing:
