VIDEO: Pie appears to be having communication issues in Korea

Once upon a time, Felix Pie was going to be the next big thing for the Cubs. Baseball America ranked him as one of the 75 best prospects in the game every year from 2003-07, including as high as 27th prior to the 2006 season. They expected stardom, or at least consistent above-average play.

Pie never developed into the player many expected, instead hitting .246/.295/.369 (75 OPS+) with 17 home runs and 21 stolen bases in 425 big league games, most with the Orioles. He appeared in 27 games with the Pirates last season after not playing in MLB at all in 2012.

The 29-year-old Pie now finds himself with the Hanwha Eagles in Korea (Hyun-Jin Ryu's old team), and, based on the following video, it appears he is having some communication issues with his new teammates:

Hat tip to ex-big leaguer (and Korea baseball veteran) and current CBS Radio baseball analyst C.J. Nitkowski for pointing out the video.

As Nitkowski notes, Pie appears to call time out from center field to tell the pitcher to throw more strikes. That's a new one for me. It also looked like Pie had some "I got it, I got it, it's yours" trouble with the left fielder at the end of the video.

Players make the move overseas all the time, but man, it can not be easy. Pie seems to be having trouble with the whole communication thing.
