VIDEO: White Sox top Twins with walkoff wild pitch
The White Sox scored the winning run in the 11th inning Wednesday thanks to two wild pitches -- and a balk before that.
The White Sox topped the Twins, 7-6, in 11 innings Wednesday afternoon to run their record to 2-0 in this fledgling season. The South Siders definitely got some help in the form of some bumbling Twins pitching and defense in the process.
Then, in the 11th inning Leury Garcia led off with a bunt single. He advanced to second on a balk and to third on a wild pitch. And then scored the walkoff run on yet another wild pitch. Here it is:
Hawk Harrelson going full-on Homer Hawk and the Twins already showing their futility. Midseason form.
