Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig made his MLB debut on Monday, going 2 for 4 at the plate with a dynamite defensive player in right field.
The Dodgers called up Yasiel Puig on Monday to not only help their injury-depleted outfield, but also to give a disappointing team a shot in the arm. The 22-year-old went 2 for 4 with a pair of singles at the plate, but he saved his best for last. Here is Puig's outstanding game-ending double play in right field to finish off the Padres (bonus: Vin Scully on the call):
I can't be the only one thinking it, so I'm going to say it: That was downright vintage Vladimir Guerrero-esque right there. Puig is some kind of athlete.
