Speedy leadoff men made some things happen for their teams early in Mother's Day action. First up, Billy Hamilton in his return from a hand injury, getting all the way to third base on a bunt:

Hamilton would go on to score the first run of the game and it goes without saying that very few players in baseball could have gotten all the way to third on a bunt like that.

How about Jose Reyes, who could be saying something to Hamilton like "dude, I was the hot young speedster when you were in Little League."

Reyes scored in the first inning up north from second base on a groundout (yes, he broke with the pitch, but it's still impressive):

Reyes appeared a bit shaken up, but he stayed in the game.
