WATCH: Juan Uribe hits three home runs on Monday
After hitting just two home runs in 2012 and six from 2011-12, Juan Uribe went deep three times on Monday.
Juan Uribe hit two home runs for the Dodgers all of last season. The year before he went deep just four times. On Monday night, he hit a solo homer in each of his first three at-bats. Here's the first off Randall Delgado, part of back-to-back homers with Andre Ethier:
Here's the second homer, also off Delgado:
And here's the third, this one off Eury De La Rosa:
My favorite thing about Uribe is that that's not his home run pose. His follow through makes it seem like he thinks he hit a homer every time he makes contact. It's great.
Uribe had a chance for four homers, but in his final at-bat he ... beat out an infield single. Pretty much the exact opposite of a home run. Baseball is weird sometimes.
Eight players have had a three-homer game this season: Uribe, Pablo Sandoval, Josh Reddick, Carlos Gonzalez, Dioner Navarro, Ryan Zimmerman, Miguel Cabrera and Will Middlebrooks. Eight seemed like a lot, but last year there were 12. That's a lot.
