Heavily hyped Dodgers prospect Yasiel Puig has been arrested in Chattanooga, Tenn., and charged with speeding, reckless driving and financial responsibility (driving without proof of insurance), according to the Hamilton County Sherriff's office booking report.

"We're aware of the situation, and we take it very seriously," a Dodgers spokesman said (via ESPN Los Angeles). "We'll be handling discipline internally."

Puig, 22, defected from Cuba last year and was signed by the Dodgers to a seven-year, $42 million contract. He went on to hit .354/.442/.634 with two doubles, three triples, five homers, 15 RBI and eight stolen bases in 23 games across Rookie Ball and High-A.

Puig then rode a hot spring into getting sent to Double-A Chattanooga, where he has hit .333/.385/.625 with three doubles, a triple, three homers, nine RBI and two steals in just 13 games. He has been out of the lineup for more than a week with a sprained left thumb.
