Yes, you may bet on Tim Tebow's first at-bat in the Arizona Fall League
The Mets not long ago announced that Tebow would participate in the AFL this offseason
Tim Tebow! America's third-string QB is of course now an outfielder in the Mets organization, and those very same Mets recently announced plans to dispatch the 29-year-old to the Arizona Fall League (AFL) this offseason.
As my colleague Matt Snyder pointed out, this will be Tebow's biggest baseball challenge yet, as the AFL includes some legit high-ceiling prospects. Regarding Tebow's fortunes, Bookmaker.eu has released prop odds on what will transpire when Tebow makes his first plate appearance of the AFL, which begins play in less than a week, and how he'll fare generally in the early going. Here's a look at those odds ...
Result of Tim Tebow's first at-bat in the Arizona Fall League
Fly out +250
Ground out +280
Hit (single, double, triple, home run) +300
Hit by pitch +2500
Tim Tebow total strikeouts during first 20 at-bats in the Arizona Fall League
OVER 7.5 (-115)
UNDER 7.5 (-115)
Tim Tebow total hits during first 20 at-bats in the Arizona Fall League
OVER 5.5 (-115)
UNDER 5.5 (-115)
Tim Tebow OPS (on-base plus slugging) after first 20 at-bats in the Arizona Fall League
OVER .550 (-115)
UNDER .550 (-115)
So what looks good? As you can see, these odds in general don't expect much out of Tebow in those early AFL appearances, which is probably a sensible approach.
