Tigers' Andrew Moore: Inks minor-league contract
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Moore signed a minor-league contract with the Tigers on Saturday.

Moore spent spring training with the Reds in 2020 but didn't appear in any games during the abbreviated season. He could get the chance to play at big-league camp this year, but he's spent most of the past several seasons at Double-A and Triple-A.

Reds' Andrew Moore: Spends spring with Cincy
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Moore signed a minor-league contract with the Reds in February.

The 25-year-old inked the minor-league pact prior to the start of spring training, but he didn't appear in any Cactus League games prior to the suspension of baseball operations. Moore allowed four earned runs over 4.2 innings during his lone big-league appearance in 2019, but he spent most of the season between Double-A and Triple-A and had an 8.02 ERA over 101 frames.

Mariners' Andrew Moore: Loses 40-man spot
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

The Mariners outrighted Moore to Triple-A Tacoma on Sunday.

Seattle elected to drop Moore from its 40-man roster after he served up a season-high 10 runs in just two innings during his most recent start with Tacoma on Thursday. Moore's path to rejoining the big club will now become more difficult now that he no longer occupies a 40-man spot. Between stops at two Double-A and two Triple-A teams this season, Moore owns a 9.25 ERA and 1.67 WHIP and has surrendered 18 home runs in 60.1 innings.

Mariners' Andrew Moore: Gets call-up to Tacoma
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Moore will be promoted to Triple-A Tacoma and start Friday at Albuquerque, Greg Johns of reports.

Moore was 2-1 with a 3.86 ERA and 1.00 WHIP across 28 innings for Double-A Arkansas, and he'll now have a second shot at the Triple-A level this season. The 25-year-old right-hander also posted a forgettable 12.98 ERA and 2.28 WHIP over 17.1 innings for Durham in the Rays organization before being designated for assignment April 29.

Mariners' Andrew Moore: Demoted after spot start
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Moore was optioned to Double-A Arkansas on Wednesday.

Moore was shipped back to Arkansas after struggling in a spot start against the Astros on Tuesday, allowing four runs on six hits and one walk while striking out two in 4.2 innings of work. In a corresponding move, Gerson Bautista was reinstated from the 60-day injured list.

Mariners' Andrew Moore: Struggles in return to majors
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Moore allowed four earned runs in 4.2 innings against Houston on Tuesday but did not factor into the decision. He gave up six hits and one walk while striking out two.

Recalled from Double-A Arkansas to fill in for Yusei Kikuchi (rest), Moore did little to fool Houston hitters, giving up a pair of solo home runs and inducing only four swinging strikes. It was the 25-year-old's first appearance in the majors since 2017. With Kikuchi set to miss only one start, Moore doesn't figure to be in line for another major-league opportunity in the near future.

Mariners' Andrew Moore: Recalled to make spot start
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Moore was recalled from Double-A Arkansas to start Tuesday's game against the Astros.

Moore is set to make his first big-league appearance since the 2017 campaign, when he made nine starts and accrued a 5.34 ERA with 32 strikeouts across 59 innings. Connor Sadzeck was placed on the 10-day injured list with right elbow inflammation in a corresponding move.

Mariners' Andrew Moore: Candidate for spot start
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Moore is a candidate to start Tuesday against the Astros in place of Yusei Kikuchi, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Moore last pitched for Double-A Arkansas on Thursday, so he would be on his usual amount of rest should he get the call. The 25-year-old last appeared in the majors in 2017, when he posted a 5.34 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 31:8 K:BB in 59 innings (nine starts, two relief appearances) with the Mariners. Kikuchi is expected to rejoin the rotation later in the week, so if Moore did get the call, it would likely be for just one start.

Mariners' Andrew Moore: Claimed by Seattle
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Moore was claimed off waivers by the Mariners on Friday.

Moore was designated for assignment by the Giants less than a week after being claimed from the Rays, and now finds himself back with his original organization, who he made his big-league debut with in 2017. The 24-year-old will report to Double-A Arkansas, and has a 14.21 ERA, 2.37 WHIP and 12:11 K:BB with 10 homers allowed over 19 innings between Double-A and Triple-A this season.

Moore was designated for assignment by the Giants on Saturday.

Moore was claimed off waivers by the Giants last week and made one appearance at Double-A Richmond, allowing five runs on five hits over 1.2 innings. The 24-year-old struggled similarly over the first few weeks of the season at Triple-A with the Rays by posting a 12.98 ERA, 2.28 WHIP and 10:10 K:BB across 17.1 innings.

Rays' Andrew Moore: Designated for assignment
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Moore was designated for assignment by the Rays on Monday, Juan Toribio of reports.

Moore has spent the season with Triple-A Durham, recording a 12.98 ERA in 17.1 innings. He hasn't appeared in the majors since 2017, when he posted a 5.34 ERA in 59 frames for the Mariners. The move clears a roster spot for Nate Lowe, whose contract was purchased in a corresponding move.

Rays' Andrew Moore: Heading to Triple-A
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Moore was optioned to Triple-A Durham on Sunday, Steve Carney of Sports Radio 620 WDAE reports.

Moore made his way to the majors in 2017 but split time between Double-Arkansas and Triple-A last season. The 24-year-old could make his way back to the big leagues in 2019 if he performs well at Durham.

Rays' Andrew Moore: Returns from minor-league DL
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Moore (forearm) allowed three unearned runs on three hits and one walk across five innings for Triple-A Durham on Saturday. He struck out two.

As expected, Moore wound up missing just one turn through the rotation with a forearm injury. The 24-year-old, who was acquired from the Mariners earlier in the year, owns a 4.19 ERA across 16 appearances (77.1 innings) with the Bulls this season. Moore should be in line for a September callup given he's already on the 40-man roster.

Rays' Andrew Moore: Shut down with forearm injury
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Moore was placed on the 7-day disabled list at Triple-A Durham on Sunday due to a forearm injury, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The issue is apparently considered minor, as Moore is only expected to miss one start before rejoining the Durham rotation. The Rays acquired the right-hander in May in the trade that sent Alex Colome and Denard Span to Seattle, but Moore has yet to push his way to the big club, despite possessing a 40-man roster spot. Over 15 outings with Durham, Moore has posted a 4.48 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 49:24 K:BB in 72.1 innings.

Rays' Andrew Moore: Set to join Durham
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Moore will join Triple-A Durham following his trade to the Rays from the Mariners on Friday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The right-hander made nine starts for the Mariners last season (11 appearances total), but was an early cut this year in spring training and ended up spending the first couple months at Double-A. Moore will jump back up to Triple-A with the move east and he could end up slotting into the Rays' thinned-out rotation at some point down the line. He is on the 40-man roster.

Rays' Andrew Moore: Traded to Tampa Bay
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Moore and fellow pitcher Tommy Romero were sent to the Rays from the Mariners in exchange for Alex Colome and Denard Span on Friday, Tim Brown of Yahoo Sports reports.

Moore had spent the majority of the 2018 season with Double-A Arkansas, making nine starts and posting a 3.04 ERA with 47 strikeouts across 50.1 innings. It's unclear whether he'll report to Tampa Bay's Double-A or Triple-A affiliate.

Mariners' Andrew Moore: Heads to Triple-A
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

The Mariners optioned Moore to Triple-A Tacoma on Saturday.

Moore was in the mix to be the Mariners' fifth starter with Erasmo Ramirez (lat) not expected to be ready for Opening Day, but will instead start the year in Tacoma. The 23-year-old had a 9.72 ERA and 2.04 WHIP with 11 strikeouts over 8.1 innings this spring and last year recorded a lowly 4.7 K/9 and gave up 14 home runs in 59 innings with Seattle.

Mariners' Andrew Moore: In mix to open season in rotation
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Moore could be the fifth starter in the Mariners' rotation to start the season if Erasmo Ramirez (lat) isn't ready by then, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

At this time, Ramirez isn't expected to be ready for Opening Day, but the Mariners don't actually need a fifth starter for the first week or two of the season, so this all may be a moot point. Nonetheless, the 23-year-old spent a good chunk of time in the majors last season, pitching to a 5.34 ERA with a meager 4.7 K/9. Even if he does crack the rotation, his low strikeout rate limits his upside. Ariel Miranda is also in the mix to start games early on in 2018.

Mariners' Andrew Moore: Scratched with stiff neck
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Moore has been scratched from his scheduled start Saturday against the Angels with neck stiffness, Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.

Moore was slated to toe the rubber in place of Felix Hernandez (rest), but the neck issue will keep Moore out and afford Andrew Albers a starting opportunity. The 23-year-old Moore posted strong numbers at the upper levels of the minors to earn a look in Seattle, but that success did not translate in his first exposure to big-league hitting.
