Cubs' Charcer Burks: On minor-league DL
Burks is on the 7-day DL at Double-A Tennessee with an undisclosed injury.
A solid defender in center field, Burks rarely draws much praise in prospect circles, but he had posted a 158 wRC+ with four home runs and six steals in 162 plate appearances prior to suffering the injury. It is unlikely that he will figure into Chicago's long-term plans, but he could be a solid under-the-radar acquisition by another team at the deadline this year.
