The White Sox optioned Ramos to Double-A Birmingham on Monday. Ramos has yet to play above the Double-A level and was never under serious consideration for a spot on the White Sox's Opening Day squad, despite entering his second season as a member of the 40-man roster. He'll head back to Birmingham to begin the 2024 campaign after he slashed .271/.369/.457 with 14 home runs across 339 plate appearances with the affiliate in 2023.... See More ... See Less

White Sox's Bryan Ramos: Returns from IL
Double-A Birmingham reinstated Ramos (groin) from its 7-day injured list Tuesday. The 21-year-old made his 2023 debut for Birmingham in Tuesday's 10-6 win over Mississippi, starting at third base and going 0-for-4 with a walk and a run scored. After battling a groin injury coming out of spring training, Ramos was cleared to head out on a rehab assignment last week with Single-A Kannapolis and went 2-for-16 with a home run.... See More ... White Sox's Bryan Ramos: Starts up rehab assignment
Ramos (groin) began a rehab assignment at Single-A Kannapolis on Tuesday and went 1-for-5 with two runs while playing nine innings at third base. The appearance with the Single-A club marked the season debut for Ramos, who has resided on Double-A Birmingham's 7-day injured list since early April due to a groin issue. Ramos will likely play a handful of games with Augusta before reporting to Birmingham, where he finished the 2022 campaign. Between stops at Birmingham and High-A Winston-Salem last season, the 21-year-old slashed .266/.338/.455 with 22 home runs across 518 plate appearances.... See More ... See Less -
White Sox's Bryan Ramos: Shifts to 7-day IL
Double-A Birmingham placed Ramos (groin) on its 7-day injured list last Tuesday. Ramos has yet to appear in a game for the Double-A club this season while tending to the groin injury he apparently picked up at some point in spring training. The 21-year-old infielder isn't expected to be in line for a lengthy absence, so he could be ready to make his 2023 debut for Birmingham at some point before the end of April.... See More ... White Sox's Bryan Ramos: Could return next week
Ramos (groin) could return to the lineup for Double-A Birmingham next week, James Fegan of The Athletic reports. Ramos is out of the lineup currently to start the year while dealing with groin soreness. The 21-year-old is rated as one of the top infield prospects in the system, and he has an outside chance of playing for the White Sox before the end of the 2023 campaign.... See More ... See Less -
White Sox's Bryan Ramos: Impressing in extended spring look
Ramos went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run Friday against the Cubs in Cactus League action. Ramos has racked up 17 at-bats in the Cactus League this spring and has collected seven hits in that span while striking out just twice. Friday's homer came off Ryan Borucki and marked Ramos' first extra-base hit of the exhibition season. He won't challenge for a spot on the Opening Day roster, but he should start the season with Double-A Birmingham and could earn an audition in the majors by the close of the campaign.... See More ... White Sox's Bryan Ramos: Shielded from Rule 5 draft
The White Sox added Ramos to their 40-man roster on Tuesday Ramos spent most of 2022 in High-A Winston-Salem, slashing .277/.352/.474 over 432 plate appearances. He earned a promotion to Double-A Birmingham in late August, putting up a .654 OPS over 86 plate appearances, so it's clear the 20-year-old third baseman has a ways to go before he's ready for the majors....
