The Cardinals reassigned Meisinger to their minor-league camp Monday, Rick Hummel of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
The Cardinals sent out Meisinger and fellow non-roster pitcher Mike Hauschild, reducing their group at big-league camp to 42 players. Meisinger reached the majors for the first time in 2018 as a member of the Orioles, logging a 6.43 ERA and 1.33 WHIP across 18 appearances (one start).
Meisinger cleared waivers Friday and was outrighted to Triple-A Memphis.
Meisinger was claimed off waivers from Baltimore in December but was subsequently booted off the 40-man roster after the Cardinals signed Andrew Miller. The 24-year-old threw 21 innings for the Orioles last season, finishing with a 6.43 ERA. He'll be organizational depth for the Cardinals this season.

Meisinger made his major-league debut with the Orioles in 2018, posting a 6.43 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 21:10 K:BB across 21 innings. He also spent time with Double-A Bowie and Triple-A Norfolk, notching a 4.42 ERA across 18.1 innings with the Baysox while compiling a 2.28 ERA and 11.7 K/9 across 27.2 innings with the Tides. The 24-year-old will likely serve as organizational bullpen depth in 2019.
Meisinger (2-1) took the loss Wednesday against the Red Sox, allowing five runs on four hits and one walk while recording just one out.
Meisinger took one on the chin in his first career major-league start, exiting with the bases loaded and one out in the first inning after allowing five of the six batters he faced to reach base (two singles, two doubles and a walk). All three inherited runners came around to score, sticking the right-hander with five earned runs and raising his ERA from 4.50 to 6.64 in the process.
Meisinger will start the afternoon portion of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Red Sox, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.
Meisinger has thrown 20 innings, all in relief, in his debut season. He'll face a tough opponent in his first career start, though he could end up facing a number of backups as the Red Sox look to avoid overworking their regulars with their playoff position already clinched.
Meisinger will be recalled from Triple-A Norfolk prior to Friday's game against the Indians, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
Meisinger has appeared in just four games for the big-league club this season, logging a 3.00 ERA and 0.83 WHIP with five strikeouts across six innings of relief. The right-hander will provide a fresh arm in the O's bullpen ahead of their three-game set in Cleveland.
Meisinger was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday.
He gave up two runs on two solo home runs in six innings (four appearances) while striking out five in his time up with the big club. Donnie Hart and Jhan Marinez were added to the active roster, as the O's look to keep their bullpen fresh.
